Bartosz Banasik is a Polish sculptor specializing in marble. A significant part of his artistic practice is developed around this material, through collaborations with collectors, institutions, and private clients both in Poland and internationally.
He graduated from the Faculty of Sculpture at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. In 2017, he received his diploma with distinction under the supervision of Dr. Hab. Karol Badyna, Professor at the Academy. Since then, he has been running his own sculpture studio. In recent years, his artistic work has focused on exploring the formation of human personality, the significance of becoming aware of this process, and the role of dialogue in shaping relationships between people.
Alongside his artistic practice, he develops the activities of the Stara Szkoła Foundation in Wymysłów, helping to create a space for dialogue and cooperation across social, professional, and national boundaries. The foundation’s mission is to foster an accessible and open environment for artistic development, intergenerational exchange, and the preservation of cultural heritage through workshops, plein-air events, exhibitions, and symposia that support both professional artists and local communities.
This website presents selected artworks, independent artistic projects, and events in which Bartosz Banasik has participated or helped create.
